About the State Employee Health Insurance Scheme (SEHIS) in Jharkhand
The State Employee Health Insurance Scheme (SEHIS) (राज्य कर्मचारी स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना) is Jharkhand's cashless health insurance scheme for state government employees and their eligible dependents, implemented through the Jharkhand State Aarogya Society. Treatment is available at empanelled network hospitals, and employees can follow their claim status online.
Before the platform, enrollment and claims were handled in separate places, and employees and departments could not easily see where a case stood. The scheme needed a single health insurance portal that connects employees, DDOs, hospitals and the health department.
Deosoft IT Services, a government portal development company working with the Government of Jharkhand, built that unified platform, covering employee and family enrollment, DDO workflows, hospital empanelment, claims processing and HRMS and finance integration, with a dashboard, MIS and chatbot for tracking and support.
