Summit Participation Highlights
On 9 October 2026, our team at Deosoft IT Service Private Limited attended the J&K GCC Summit 2026. This start marked a turning point for us. It took place at Mandapam, IIM Jammu. The discussions covered technology, investment, and the future of Jammu & Kashmir.
The event spanned two days. It provided valuable networking and insight into regional priorities. Finally, our CEO, Mr. Deo Kumar Singh, was honored with recognition at the summit. We left with strengthened partnerships and a clear direction for future work.
What is the J&K GCC Summit 2026?
The summit was organized by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu in collaboration with the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, with NASSCOM as the knowledge partner. It was held under the theme “Unlocking J&K’s GCC Potential for Building Growth Ecosystem & Catalyzing Investment.”
The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, academicians and representatives of the technology ecosystem, with more than 300 delegates in attendance. Its goal was to position Jammu & Kashmir as an emerging destination for Global Capability Centers in India.
What is a GCC, and why does it matter?
A Global Capability Center (GCC) is a unit set up in India by a global company to run work such as technology, engineering, analytics, finance and research for the parent organization. GCCs create skilled jobs, bring in investment and build a stronger local ecosystem around them.
For a region like Jammu & Kashmir, this can mean:
- More employment opportunities for young, educated professionals
- Better skill development and training
- Growth of local IT companies, startups and service providers
- A more diversified economy

What the summit covered
Over two days, the program included sessions on the global GCC landscape, India’s GCC growth story, the future of talent and workforce in GCCs, and a roadmap for making J&K the next GCC destination. Delegates also learned about the J&K GCC Policy 2026 and the incentives it offers. The summit closed its first day with a cultural evening celebrating the heritage of Jammu & Kashmir.
